Are you going to work with the pruning shears? Good job! Many green friends will thank you. Whatever plant you have outside – from a rose to pampas grass – regular pruning keeps your green amigos strong, healthy and in good shape. And that is what we want! We teach you the ins and outs!
The ‘why’ of pruning
Depending on the plant species, you should prune your plants. There are various reasons for this:
The plant, bush or tree stays in shape. Think of it as your own hairdo. Your green friend also wants to look good.
You avoid enormous overgrowth in the garden. Some green friends like to be present, but let our little amigos fade into the background. And let’s face it, even the smallest rascals deserve a stage in your spring garden, don’t they?
Fancy a nice apple or a recipe for delicious pears? Even more fun than coming from your own garden! Do you have one of those lovely fruit trees in your garden? Prune it in the spring. The yield will be better!
